We were instructed on behalf of a large e-commerce business that occupied a warehouse in Wellingborough, by way of a logistics contract, which expired in February 2018.
Whilst the intention was to remain in occupation and renew a lease directly with the Landlord, there were complications with the expiry of the contract and expiry of the existing lease, and they faced a disadvantageous negotiating position.
Immediately upon entering into negotiations with the Landlord, we simultaneously commenced an extensive search for relocation.
Eventually the decision was made to relocate to a larger modern warehouse, within a new development in Kettering, which could house the business and its expansion for the long term.
